Rent or buy?

Hi, i am m wondering if should I buy or rent referrals? I have bad experiences with RR, because they are often inactive. Also, if I buy a referral and he will be inactive can iI recycle him?
And what are the differences between buying and renting referrals? Is this only cost of extending ?

I invested 6 dollars in rented referrals, have 27 of them left, and since the middle of july I only made 0.8 dollars from them, so I do not think it's worth it at all.
